The CBA grants over $1 million to San Antonio Agencies in 2016

In 2016,  the Charity Ball Association and its generous supporters donated over $1 million to twenty-two San Antonio agencies. Funds were awarded for construction, technology, specialized equipment, educational materials and for children's health and well-being.  We salute these twenty-two charities committed to improving the lives of the children of San Antonio.

Mission Statement: To provide spiritually based substance abuse treatment and support to women and their families to prepare them to become more productive members of society.

Project: Children's playground and indoor playroom.

Project: Austim services tool kit.

Mission Statement: Dedicated to preventing sudden cardiac death by providing free heart screenings to students 14-18 in San Antonio and surrounding counties.

Project: Screening program for teenagers.

Mission Statement: To unlock America's potential by strengthening families in at-risk communites through effective parent education and support programs.

Project: Services to fathers' education and wellness support.

 

 

CHILDREN'S ASSOCIATION FOR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL (CAMP)

Mission Statement: To help every individual with mild to severe disabilities achieve their maximum potential through year-round recreational programmig.

Project: Sensory room at Bexar County program location for children with special needs. 

 

COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS

Mission Statement: Working in public schools to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Project: Improve training capabilities including long distance training, providing enhanced support and education to Site Coordinators. 

 

ECUMENICAL CENTER FOR RELIGION AND HEALTH

Mission Statement: Provides faith based counseling and education to help people find healing, growth and wellness.

 

Project: Remodel of Children's center, Epressive Therapeutic Arts program. 

 

GUADALUPE COMMUNITY CENTER

Mission Statement: Offers social services that enhance the culture, health, quality of life, and progress of individuals and families, with a particular focus on individuals residing in the west side of San Antonio. 

Project:  Improvements to basketball court.

 

 

HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL MUSEUM

Mission Statement: The Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio is dedicated to educating our community about the dangers of hatred, prejudice and apathy.

 

Project: Expansion of museum space with technology.

 

HOPE LUTHERAN LEARNING CENTER

Mission Statement:  To worship God through service to people; to provide parents and their children with a quality day care program within a Christian environment. 

Project: Computers and computer desks

 

 

KINETIC KIDS

Mission Statement: By providing sports and recreation programs not typically available to children with special needs, to foster the development of courage, self esteem, pride and joy so these children can achieve new possibilities previously unimaginable.

Project: Expand successful Mini Maestros program to seven more SAISD campuses.

Mission Statement:  Promotes early identification and intervention of hearing impairment, and provides learning in a rich auditory-oral environment so that children with hearing loss can develop to their maximum potential through listening, language and speech.
